Is your closet full to overflowing? Do you have clothes in
there from so long ago that they have long gone out of
style?
My closet looked exactly like that for a long time. I didn’t
know what to do with it so I just kept cramming things in
there. When I dug maternity clothes out of some deep, dark
recess of the closet when my daughter was two years old, I
knew it was time to do something. I found a few simple
closet solutions that helped me get my closet under control
and that I know can help you too.
Are you afraid that going through your closet is going to
take forever?
It doesn’t have to with these simple
closet solutions.
Solution 1: Empty your closet and purge. With this method,
you just take everything out and only put things back in
that you have definitely decided to keep. Everything else
(which should be anything that you have not worn in the past
year) gets donated, trashed or goes in a very small “maybe”
pile.
Solution 2: Take your closet in sections. Closet solutions
like this one mean that you tackle a specific section of
your closet. During that time, you go through everything in
that section and get rid of what you don’t need.
Solution 3: Devote a specific amount of time each day or
each week to cleaning out your closet. If you do this
method, scheduling it on your calendar is a good idea. Treat
it like you would any other appointment. Make sure that you
show up and do what you need to do.
